Rasputin - Influences Alexandra

Rasputin liked to drink alcohol and misbehave with women.  Despite his personal failings, he continued to be a great help to Alexei.

There were other reasons, of course, for Alexei's improved condition - such as herbs administered by the Romanov's doctor - but Alexandra was convinced that Rasputin had performed a miracle.

While Alexei continued to improve, the Romanov family was threatened from another place.  Revolutionaries, encouraging dissent among the impoverished Russian people, had started their drive to remove the Tsar from his throne.
