Rasputin - Mysterious Healer

Alexi, the Tsarevich, had hemophilia.  The young lad was frequently ill as a result - a sickness the royal family tried to hide from the Russian public.

Recommended as a potential help for Alexei, Gregori Rasputin was sent to the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg.  There, for the first time, he met the imperial family.  His visit with Alexei helped the young lad to feel better.

Tsar Nicholas II and his wife, Alexandra Feodorovna, were stunned to learn that Rasputin knew about their son's hemophilia.  How could this be?
