SARS Virus - May Have Originated With a Civet Cat History Medicine Tragedies and Triumphs Disasters

Medical researchers believe that the SARS outbreak of 2003 may have originated with a Civet Cat (also known as a "Fishing Cat").  As a result, in 2004 the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) issued an order banning the importing of Civet Cats into America (until further notice).
