Schizophrenia in Identical Twins - Brain Scans

This image, from a study by Drs. E. Fuller Torrey and and Daniel Weinberger, depicts the brain scans of identical male twins, aged 28.  The scan on the right, which shows enlarged brain ventricles, is evidence that the patient has schizophrenia.

The scan on the left, which shows non-enlarged brain ventricles, is evidence that the identical twin does not have schizophrenia.
