Spanish Flu - "We Heard the Bells"

In the midst of World War I, another devastation - "Spanish Flu" - infected people throughout the world.  By the time it was all over, only one place on the planet had not reported an outbreak:   Marajo, an isolated island in Brazil's Amazon delta.

This film, which includes discussions with people who lived-through the Spanish Flu outbreak, tells the story from a human (not a scientific) perspective.
