Stieg Larsson

Stieg Larsson created Lisbeth Salander in his Millenium Trilogy novels

Stieg Larsson (1954-2004) was a Swedish writer who created the phenomenally popular Millenium Trilogy.  Before his unexpected death, he had planned ten books in the series.  He finished three:

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo;

The Girl Who Played with Fire; and

The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest.

Those were not the titles Stieg created for his own books.
