The Murderer Strikes - The Tell-Tale Heart

Harry Clarke—well-known for his stained-glass art—created this illustration of the murderer and the old man for Edgar Allan Poe’s Tales of Mystery and Imagination, published in London, by George G. Harrap, during 1919.

The image depicts a scene in “The Tell-Tale Heart,” when the murderer decides it is time to dispatch the old man with the strange eye.
