The statue of Zeus is a statue of the Greek god Zeus and was about 42 feet tall. This statue was made of wooden frame and covered in ivory and gold panels.
This statue was made to honor the Greek god Zeus and to honor his achievements. It was built in 435 BC in Olympia, Greece.
Phidias is the sculptor who built the statue of Zeus and was also a painter and architect. The devasting thing is that the statue of Zeus was destroyed in a fire in the 5th century A.D.
Even after its devasting end, it still made it into the Seven Ancient Wonders of the World.
