X-Ray Experimentation - Injured Hands Disasters History Medicine Social Studies STEM Visual Arts

Before the risks associated with radiation were understood, radiologists sustained injuries to their hands (among other things).  Marie Curie, and her daughter Irene, are believed to have died from leukemia, likely as a result of their work with radiation.
