Trial of Jesus - Second Interrogation by Pilate

Trial of Jesus - Second Interrogation by Pilate Disasters Philosophy Trials Visual Arts

Questioning Jesus a second time, Pilate still finds no fault in Him and no basis for the charges brought against the prisoner.  He does his best to convince the religious leaders that they are wrong about Jesus.

Duccio interpreted the scene, between 1308-11, with this tempera on wood (entitled Christ Before Pilate Again).  It is maintained at the Museo dell'Opera del Duomo in Siena, Italy.
